Texas State University is committed to providing a learning and working environment that is free from harassment and discrimination based  sex, race, national origin, color, disability, gender, gender identity or expression, genetic information, religion, sexual orientation, pregnancy, or veteran status in its programs, activities, employment and admission.

The newly created Office of Equal Opportunity and Title IX was created to centralize the reporting, investigation, and resolution of discrimination complaints. The Office serves in a neutral role to support the University’s mission by educating members of the Texas State community about TXST policies, responding to all reports of discrimination and/or sexual misconduct; and investigating complaints of violations of policy. In our commitment to address harassment, discrimination, and sexual misconduct, we work closely with a range of student, staff, and faculty groups to educate the bobcat community.
